Third-Year Students on the PKG Learning Journey in Greece

The third-year students have returned from the PKG Learning Journey in Greece, where for a week they learned through experience, explored the most significant ancient sites, and created lifelong memories. On this trip, Greece became their classroom, and curiosity their main guide.

Our third-year students have just returned from another adventure as part of the Learning Journey, this time from Greece. Over the course of a week, they explored the most important archaeological sites of the Peloponnese and mainland Greece, and concluded their grand ancient tour in Athens, a city where history still lives today.

This instruction does not take place in a classroom. The Learning Journey is one of the most special parts of education at PKG. It is a form of learning where the real world becomes the classroom, and curiosity the main tool.

What is the PKG Learning Journey?

The Learning Journey is an integral part of the PKG curriculum. It is an innovative educational program that allows students to learn through real-world experiences at carefully selected locations across Croatia and Europe.

Students do not only acquire knowledge in history, geography, art, or literature. During the Learning Journey, they also develop skills in teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and independence. The itineraries are designed to connect natural and cultural content with a clearly defined educational theme.

For third-year students, the focus is on European cultural heritage. In this context, Greece, as the cradle of philosophy, art, and democracy, provides a unique space for experiential learning.

Greece in Reality, Not in a Textbook

Our students visited some of the most important sites of the ancient world: Epidaurus, Mycenae, Corinth, Delphi, and then Athens. In each of these places, they learned not only by observing but also by actively participating in tasks that encourage reflection, comparison, and the expression of their own experiences. In Athens, they walked through Plaka, climbed the Acropolis, and stood where the world’s greatest thinkers once spoke. History was no longer abstract, but tangible and present.

An Experience to Remember

What makes this Learning Journey unforgettable is not just the knowledge gained, but also the friendships, laughter, conversations, exploration, and camaraderie. It is in such moments that students build relationships and memories that stay with them forever. View our photos and experience at least a part of the journey’s atmosphere. At PKG, we believe that true schooling does not fit into a classroom. It is lived, discovered, built, and remembered.
