The Private Classical Gymnasium provides all graduating students with preparation for taking the State Matura Exam during their 4th year of study.
In October, after field classes, students begin preparing for mandatory subjects, namely Croatian Language, Mathematics, and Foreign Language. In the second semester, preparations expand to selected elective subjects, and after spring holidays, all preparations receive additional hours. Upon completion of regular classes for graduating students, intensive preparations begin for all mandatory and elective subjects.
Preparations include reviewing and practicing all subject content, both cognitive and essay-based, as well as
State Matura simulations.
We proudly highlight that 23 generations of students have already successfully completed our educational program and acquired extensive knowledge and skills. Therefore, our students choose various faculties at all 4 Croatian universities, and by field, these are faculties of humanities, linguistics, medicine, law, technology, arts, and science (natural and social sciences). During their 4th year of study, we monitor and advise students in their choices for continuing education through Professional Orientation.
Following the results of university admissions in the period after the introduction of the State Matura, from 2009 to 2021, we estimate that approximately 80% of our students enroll in their first choice faculty. With particular satisfaction, we highlight that in the period after 2013, an increasing number of Private Classical Gymnasium students successfully apply to and enroll in foreign universities or faculties where instruction is conducted entirely in a foreign language, such as University of Amsterdam, University of Edinburgh, University of Groningen, University of Leiden, University of Rotterdam and others. During the process of student applications to foreign universities, we provide all necessary administrative support for continuing their educational path.
