School Day Organization
Education at PKG is full-day, beginning at 8:45 and ending at 16:25. Classes are organized in blocks – some subjects are taught continuously throughout the academic year (languages, mathematics, physical education), some on a semester basis (art, music, etc.), and some quarterly (physics, chemistry, history, biology, geography, etc.). This organization of classes achieves an even distribution of workload and greater student focus, with students having no more than 10 to 11 subjects to study at any given time. The daily schedule also includes time for consultations with teachers.
Each day begins with a 10-minute mentor session used to monitor students’ daily school obligations, their progress and absences, as well as to address other needs that students express or mentors deem important to discuss.
