PKG initiates student exchange and cultural collaboration with a school in China

This new international collaboration offers our students the opportunity to experience China firsthand, immerse themselves in a different culture, forge new friendships, and grow through experiences that broaden their worldview.

At PKG European School Zagreb, we were delighted to host a Chinese delegation and initiate discussions about a collaboration that holds particularly exciting potential for our school.

This collaboration transcends formal meetings. At its core are the students, their experiences, their curiosity, and their preparation for an increasingly interconnected world. This is precisely why this initiative holds great value for PKG. It affirms the direction our school is taking: open, international, modern, and with a clear belief that education must offer young people more than just lessons.

We are particularly excited about the possibility of developing student exchange programs. This means not only welcoming students from China to Zagreb but also providing our students with the opportunity to travel to China, get to know the partner school, experience daily life, immerse themselves in Chinese culture, and gain experiences that cannot be learned solely from textbooks. Such encounters broaden horizons, build self-confidence, and leave a lasting impact.

Beyond student exchange, this collaboration also opens avenues for various forms of cultural exchange within the school. Thematic days, workshops, presentations, meetings, and special programs dedicated to Chinese culture can further enrich school life and introduce our students to a large, fascinating, and important part of the world. In such moments, the school becomes more than just a place of learning; it becomes a place of genuine encounter, discovery, and inspiration.

In an era where young people need to understand diversity, communicate across borders, and navigate an international environment, collaborations like this possess unique strength. They bring not only new knowledge but also a new breadth of perspective. This is precisely what PKG aims to be: a school that prepares students not just for exams, but for life, for the world, and for the future.

For us, this marks the beginning of an important and highly inspiring international chapter. We look forward to the next steps and all that such a collaboration can bring to our students, our school, and the entire community.
