We recently visited Klovićevi dvori where an exhibition is being held to commemorate the 140th anniversary of the birth of Ivan Meštrović, one of Croatia’s greatest sculptors.
Ivan Meštrović was born in 1883 and is considered one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century. His works are recognized worldwide, and many of them can be found in museums across Europe and the United States. Meštrović was known for his monumental sculptures that often depict themes from Croatian history, mythology, and religion.
