A day in the fresh air turned into an experience that combines ecology, community, and responsibility towards future generations.
This was not just a trip to nature. For our students, the forest became a classroom where they learned what it means to care for the environment, help the community, and see the concrete result of their own efforts. Physical work, soil under the fingers, and the feeling that each planted oak means more oxygen and more life leave a strong impression that no presentation or image can replace.
In addition to PKG European School Zagreb and its students and teachers, volunteers from our partners PLIVAzdravlje Teva, scouts from the Croatian Scout Association, and foresters from Croatian Forests participated in the action. Together, they demonstrated how collaboration between different organizations can create real change on the ground, tree by tree.
We especially thank the Croatian Scout Association, Croatian Forests, HEARTH agency, Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, European Parliament Office in Croatia, European Commission Representation in Croatia, Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, and the City of Zagreb for their support and cooperation.
We are proud of our students who show that the new generation is not just digital, but also ready to roll up their sleeves, go out into nature, and literally plant their own and our shared future.
