Our Nature Enthusiasts at the Zagreb Botanical Garden

Students from PKG European School Zagreb spent a day at the Zagreb Botanical Garden, where they experienced nature from a somewhat different perspective, firsthand. Instead of classrooms, notebooks, and school desks, this time their classroom was filled with colors, scents, and sounds of nature.

The visit to the Botanical Garden was an opportunity for students to connect their knowledge from natural sciences with direct experience. They observed the diversity of plant species, explored their structure and adaptations, and discussed the importance of environmental conservation. Besides learning, it was also a moment of relaxation, socializing, and shared enjoyment in the green heart of the city.

As they said themselves, it was great and relaxing. Such moments reflect the spirit of our school: learning through experience, the joy of discovery, and balance between knowledge and student well-being.

PKG European School Zagreb believes that school is not just a place of learning, but also a space where connections with nature, community, and oneself are built. This trip was a reminder of how much nature can inspire, calm, and stimulate curiosity.
