European Program
Education tailored to you, with a European spirit, personal approach, and the freedom to learn what you love.
Croatian-European Program
At PKG, we believe that modern education must connect the best of European tradition with today’s actual student needs. The Croatian-European program emerged from this idea: it offers broad education while providing freedom of choice, individual approach, and space for exploring personal interests.
The program maintains the core values of a general high school while offering students the opportunity to, after the first two common years, focus on the area that interests them most. This maintains thorough general education while enabling more focused work in smaller groups and deeper exploration of the chosen field.
How does the program work?
For the first two years, students follow a common curriculum within the General Elective High School Program. Then, in the third year, they choose one of 7 specializations based on their interests, aptitudes, and potential future plans.
Specializations are conducted in smaller groups, enabling intensive work, mentorship approach, and greater flexibility in teaching methods. This allows students to explore their interests, focus on their future profession, or further develop areas where they already show excellence.

Student-Centered Approach
The program is designed to allow each student to build their own educational path. Through the mentorship system, students receive support in planning and developing their interests and making important decisions for the future.
Small groups enable more personal relationships with teachers, more space for active communication, project work, and individualized teaching.
Openness to Europe and the World
The Croatian-European program encourages students to think globally but act responsibly and locally. They participate in international projects, mobility programs, volunteer activities, and school initiatives that develop empathy, entrepreneurship, and cooperation.
The program is accredited by the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, and is already being implemented in several schools in Croatia, with the aim of creating a network of new-generation European high schools.
Accreditation
Our Croatian-European high school program is fully accredited by the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia.

Questions and Answers
PKG Croatian-European High School offers seven specializations that students choose based on their interests and talents. Classes are held in small groups with a mentoring approach, and students develop not only knowledge but also skills important for life and future careers. PKG is a school that puts the student at the center and adapts the program to them, not vice versa. It’s a modern high school model that combines Croatian excellence with European educational values.
Parents and students are not left alone in this decision. During the first two years, students get the opportunity to experience a wide range of content, and with the help of mentors, teachers, and the school psychologist, they develop better insight into their own interests and talents. In the third year, at the right time, they choose the specialization that best suits their plans.
Yes, and for good reason. The PKG Croatian-European High School program is fully recognized by the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia. The Ministry has evaluated this program as fantastic and a major step forward. This means students graduate with a Croatian diploma, but in a school environment that offers them more. Additionally, PKG offers the opportunity to obtain both Croatian and American diplomas, opening additional opportunities for continuing education abroad.
PKG students regularly enroll in universities in Zagreb, Rijeka, Osijek, and Split, as well as prestigious faculties in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Italy, and the United States. The school provides individual support during the application process, including preparation of motivation letters, portfolios, and preparation for international exams.
Yes, this is exactly why the European High School PKG is an excellent choice. Many students at 14 or 15 don’t have clearly defined interests, and that’s completely fine. PKG provides students with broad exposure to different areas, from humanities to natural sciences, design, economics, languages, and computing. During the first two years, students get time, experience, and support to discover what truly interests them.
In the third year, they choose a specialization that best matches their interests and plans, but they can change it if they realize they’re more drawn to another area. Mentors and the school’s professional team guide them through this process, so they don’t make decisions blindly but with clear support and understanding of their strengths. PKG gives children a better chance to find their right direction, without pressure and in a safe environment.
At PKG, each child is treated with full respect and attention. What matters isn’t just what the child knows, but who they are, what interests them, how they learn, and what gives them a sense of security. We believe school isn’t just a place for learning, but a space where a child should feel seen, understood, and guided.
That’s why we work in smaller groups where teachers and mentors have time to get to know each student, monitor their development, and provide support when needed. Children have space here to be themselves without fear of going unnoticed. Here, self-confidence, curiosity, and self-worth develop.
Parents often say that at PKG, they felt for the first time that a school truly cares about their child. And this isn’t by accident. Our school carries the slogan ‘The School Everyone Loves’ for a reason because children feel accepted, safe, and motivated here. This isn’t just a phrase, it’s an experience that students, parents, and teachers confirm daily.
Yes. PKG offers targeted preparation for the state graduation exam, including additional classes and individual consultations. Students planning to enroll in specific faculties like FER, Medical School, or Architecture receive support tailored to those specific requirements.
PKG’s Croatian-European high school program is shaped according to the best educational practices from European Union countries. This means students receive not just knowledge, but also a way of thinking that encourages independence, creativity, critical thinking, and active participation.
Learning is based on understanding, projects, and cross-curricular themes. Students develop skills in cooperation, communication, problem-solving, and expressing their own views. The curriculum includes multiple foreign languages, interdisciplinary content, weeks dedicated to current European topics, and an open approach to science, art, technology, and society.
Our goal isn’t just to prepare students for the state graduation exam, but also for study and life in modern Europe. PKG’s Croatian-European program builds a bridge between Croatian educational tradition and a European vision of the future.
Yes, these children especially find their place at PKG. The school encourages diversity, openness, and authenticity. Whether a child is interested in biology, philosophy, design, music, acting, or programming, they will get the opportunity to develop in their direction with support.
PKG offers more than education. Students get a school that knows them, believes in them, and guides them. They receive mentorship, a safe environment, diverse extracurricular opportunities, practical skills, support for university enrollment, and access to global opportunities through the Croatian-American diploma. PKG invests in the personal growth, confidence, and independence of each student.
