Erasmus+ Exchange at PKG European School Zagreb

In the spirit of European cooperation and international education, PKG European School Zagreb is hosting 12 students and 2 teachers from a partner gymnasium in Bulgaria from April 20 to 27.

PKG European School Zagreb is particularly pleased to announce a new Erasmus+ exchange, within which it will host 12 students and 2 teachers from a partner gymnasium in Bulgaria from April 20 to 27.

This mobility follows a successfully conducted preparatory visit, during which all key program elements were agreed upon and cooperation between the two schools was confirmed. The upcoming meeting represents an important step in further strengthening the international dimension of education that PKG European School Zagreb systematically develops, as well as in creating valuable opportunities for students to learn, collaborate, and grow in a truly European environment.

During their stay in Zagreb, our guests will get to know the school, the city, and a part of our students’ daily lives. On Tuesday and Wednesday, 21. April 22, they will visit PKG European School Zagreb, and on Wednesday, they will also participate in classes. Such encounters provide students with invaluable experience of direct exchange of knowledge, ideas, and perspectives, as well as an opportunity to develop openness, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging to the wider European community.

A special moment of the program will be a joint gathering on Friday, April 25, when we will organize a barbecue and a meeting dedicated to presenting the two cultures in the garden of our PKG campus. Through traditional cuisine, dance, and informal socializing, students and teachers will have the opportunity to get to know each other in a direct and authentic way, precisely how international exchanges should connect people.

At PKG European School Zagreb, we believe that education achieves its full value when it transcends classroom boundaries and opens up space for real encounters, new experiences, and lasting connections among young people from different European backgrounds. The Erasmus+ program is one of the most beautiful expressions of such education—education that connects, enriches, and leaves a lasting mark.

We look forward to the arrival of our guests and another week filled with learning, exchange of experiences, cultural encounters, and new friendships.
