The corridors are adorned with lights and Christmas trees, classroom doors have received their Christmas ‘masks’, and each class has created a small corner with its own style. In some places, classic red and gold colors dominate, in others everything is in pastel tones, and in some areas, students have gone in a completely creative direction, turning bulletin boards into mini comics, Christmas memes, or themed photo corners.
The most beautiful part of the whole story is that our students are responsible for the atmosphere. With the help of class teachers and subject teachers, they plan, suggest, discuss, agree on who brings what, who sticks, who designs the signs, and who is in charge of photography. In the corridors, you can hear a mixture of Croatian, English, and laughter, while decorations slowly find their place.
Christmas time at school is not just ‘beautiful scenery’. It’s an opportunity for students to collaborate, develop a sense of community, and create memories that they will remember even after high school. Classrooms become a little warmer, conversations more relaxed, and the school routine takes on that special holiday note that makes it easier to get up in the morning.
