Why European School Zagreb?
Because here students gain access to people, knowledge, places, and experiences that shape the world.
Imagine your child at Microsoft.
At the European Parliament.
At UCL in London.
At the Royal Albert Hall.
At an international forum where leading people and ideas shaping the future meet.
Not as an ordinary visitor, a student on a field trip, or a tourist just sightseeing.
That's what makes European School Zagreb different.
Behind the school stands the Motušić family, Andreana Motušić and Boris Motušić, with a serious academic foundation, extensive professional experience, and an international network of people from education, technology, culture, entrepreneurship, and European institutions.
Andreana Motušić holds a PhD with over 25 years of experience in education, curriculum development, and working on complex international projects for major global organizations and brands. Her experience also includes projects for the European Commission and the European Parliament. She taught political science and European studies at UCL in London.
Boris Motušić brings almost 30 years of experience in technology, digital transformation, and working for major global organizations such as Microsoft, BNP Paribas, ABB, Panasonic, PwC, and others.
These experiences are not just their professional biographies.
They become opportunities for students.
That's why our students meet exceptional people. They travel. They participate in international projects. They listen to guest lecturers from Croatia and abroad. They learn from professors with impressive international careers. But the true value lies not only in these opportunities but in the vision, knowledge, and mindset of the people who lead the school, because this approach is felt in every part of the school experience.
This is a school that doesn't just tell students they can go far.
This is a school that starts leading them there.
5 More Reasons Why Families Choose European School Zagreb
01 International School in Croatian and English +
At the European High School, Croatian and English coexist as a natural part of the school experience.
Our students come from Croatia, the USA, Australia, Cuba, India, Ukraine, Russia, Canada, Germany, Austria, and other countries, bringing diverse cultures, languages, religions, experiences, and worldviews.
That's why the school is a truly international, diverse, and inclusive environment where students learn to live, collaborate, and grow with others, ready for the future in Croatia, Europe, or anywhere in the world.
02 Individual Approach to Each Student +
Every student has their own rhythm, talent, challenge, and path.
That's why, together with the student, parents, and mentor, we set personal goals, and we adapt the school experience to what is most important: for the student to discover their talents, develop self-confidence, and find the direction in which they can achieve the most success.
03 Warm and Stimulating Environment in the Greenery of Tuškanac +
Our top priority is for students to feel good, safe, and accepted. We foster a friendly atmosphere, do not tolerate bullying, care for mental health, and create a school where students can make mistakes, try again, belong, and grow with a smile.
Our campus in a historic villa in Tuškanac, close to the city center and surrounded by a garden and greenery, is designed more as a warm second home than a traditional school. It is a peaceful, beautiful, and inspiring place for learning, rest, movement, conversation, creativity, and community, where students feel seen, supported, and motivated.
04 Serious Work in a Pleasant Atmosphere +
Support does not mean leniency. The European School combines closeness with clear expectations, work habits, responsibility, and a serious approach to learning that provides students with security, knowledge, and strength for what comes after school.
05 Seven Specializations, One Goal: To Find Each Student's Right Path +
A student shouldn't just memorize material. They need to discover what interests them, develop their talents, and understand how to connect knowledge with real life, projects, and future studies.
That's why the program with seven specializations helps students explore their own interests, prepare more clearly for their desired university, and find their path. At the same time, the school becomes a community of diverse talents and perspectives, where students stay connected with friends, learn from those who think differently, and develop the ability to collaborate in a real, interdisciplinary world.
In this way, the European High School acts as seven high schools in one, with a wealth of different interests but a shared sense of belonging.
Small school. Big world.
